  • I'm amazed at the number of elite athletes that have "asthma". It's a friggin' epidemic!
  • Especially if you live in the Los Angeles area.
  • Asthma drugs are a form of cheating. Everyone knows it. The statistics tell the story. Look at the percentage of athletes with "exercise induced asthma" and compare it to the general populace. All of these athletes are capable of running marathons or training for hours without these drugs but they take them because they are performance enhancing.
  • Technically, it is not cheating according to WADA/IOC rules if the athlete has a therapeutic use exemption (TUE). But you point is well taken. The so-called TUE loophole highlights a major problem with rule(s) that allow some athletes to use PEDs and not others.
  • Actually asthma, especially among swimmers is more common than people think.
